THE PROCESS THAT LET'S YOU...

Know the Exact Design and Cost Before You Build

Most renovation stress doesn’t come from construction. It comes from the unknowns, cost, design, and what’s hiding behind your walls.

At Bright Homes, we eliminate all of that upfront. Every detail is planned. Every decision is made. Every cost is defined.

The price you’re given is the price you pay.

STEP 1 | THE FREE CONSULTATION

A Free, No-Obligation Conversation About What's Possible for Your Home

Most renovation companies start selling from the moment you make contact. Bright Homes starts by listening.

Your first conversation with us costs nothing and commits you to nothing. It's simply a chance to talk about your home, what you're hoping to achieve, and what a renovation could genuinely look like for you. Many clients tell us afterward that it was the first time anyone in this industry actually took the time to understand what they wanted before talking about what they could sell them.

Here's how it unfolds.

Your Initial Inquiry

When you first get in touch, we'll ask you to share the basics: your location, your home, your ideas, and a rough sense of your budget. That way, when we speak, we're already prepared, and the conversation can go straight to what matters to you.

Your Discovery Call

This is a real conversation. We want to hear about your project, what you are hoping to create, what has been holding you back, and what questions you have not been able to get clear answers to. We will share honestly what we think is possible and give you a clear sense of whether Bright Homes is the right fit.

Your Onsite Assessment

We will come to your home, spend time understanding your space, and give you an honest picture of what your renovation could look like, including realistic timelines, investment, and what to expect at each stage.

There is no presentation to sit through. No pressure to decide anything. Just a genuine conversation with someone who has been through this process hundreds of times and wants to help you make the right decision.

If you are ready to move forward, we will put together a Project Development Agreement. This is a clear document outlining what we will do in Step 2, the fee for that work, and the outcomes you can expect.

After This Step, You Will Have

  1. An honest assessment of what is possible for your home and your budget
  2. A clear understanding of how the Bright Homes process works
  3. The confidence to decide whether to move forward before committing to anything

STEP 2 | PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Where Every Unknown Gets Resolved Before Your Money Is on the Line

This is the phase that makes everything else possible. By the time this step is complete, there are no surprises waiting in your project. Not in the design. Not in the budget. Not behind your walls.

Most builders call this design. We call it Project Development, because we are doing far more than designing. We are documenting your space, understanding how you live, building a plan that fits your vision and your budget, making every selection, and removing every unknown we can.

“We plan everything to the point that you could leave for six months and come back to exactly what you expected.” Jon Traveller

We Scan Your Space Down to the Inch

We design your renovation around your actual home, not assumptions.

Most companies work from rough measurements. We create an exact digital record of your space using a Matterport 3D camera. Every wall, doorway, ceiling height, and structural element is captured precisely.

When we give you a price, it is based on what is actually there, not what someone guessed might be there.

Your Discovery Call

Before we design anything, we take time to understand how you use your home.

Through detailed conversations, questionnaires, and visual tools like Pinterest, we learn what matters most to you and what you are naturally drawn to.

“Most people know what they like when they see it, even if they cannot fully describe it. We help bring that clarity.” Jon Traveller

Concept Plans That Fit Your Budget

Using your scan and input, we develop up to three concept plans. Each offers a different way to achieve your goals, with its own layout and tradeoffs.

At the same time, our designers and estimators work together to make sure each concept fits your investment range.

If something does not align, we adjust early. Before you commit. Before you fall in love with something that does not work financially.

Every Selection Made Before Construction

Once your concept is approved, we move into selections.

Every finish, fixture, and material is chosen ahead of time in a calm setting, not during construction.

We do the research and bring you a curated set of options that fit your style and budget. You choose from a small number of options we are confident you will love.

If something does not feel right, we keep looking. No pressure. No rushed decisions.

We Investigate What Is Behind Your Walls

Before we finalize your price, we investigate your home.

We use cameras in sewer lines, infrared scanning, and when needed, small inspection openings to understand what is actually there.

Finding issues during planning costs very little. Finding them during construction can be expensive and disruptive.

“We own it. If the scope does not change, the price does not change.” Jon Traveller

Designed for the Life Ahead

A great renovation does not just work today. It continues to work as life changes.

Wider doorways. Better flow. Layouts that can adapt over time.

These decisions are simple and affordable during planning, but difficult and costly later.

“If you plan to live here long term, we need to think about what your home will need in the future and prepare for it now.” Jon Traveller

After This Step, You Will Have

  1. A concept plan you love that fits your investment range

  2. Every finish and fixture selected before construction begins

  3. A budget based on what is actually in your home

  4. A fixed price that holds because the uncertainty has been removed

STEP 3 | DESIGN, 3D MODEL & SIGN-OFF

See Your Finished Home Before We Touch a Wall

By this stage, the design and selections are complete. Now you see it exactly as it will be built.

3D Model Walkthrough

Before you sign off on anything, we build a complete, photo realistic 3D model of your finished project and walk you through it.

Not a sketch. Not a floor plan. A full three dimensional rendering of your space with your actual paint colors, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and the precise placement of every detail.

"They're blown away every time. They've had this idea in their head for so long, and when they finally see it, everything clicks." Jon Traveller

If something does not feel right, we adjust it on screen in seconds. A small change here takes moments. The same change during construction can take days and cost thousands.

For most clients, this is the moment the project becomes real. Not just an idea, but something you can see, react to, and feel confident about.

"I can't believe that's what my space could look like. That's what we hear all the time." Jon Traveller

Your Fixed Price Agreement

Once you have approved the 3D model and every detail, we create your Fixed Price Agreement.

This is where fixed price becomes a promise. The number you agree to is the number you pay. If the scope does not change, the price does not change.

By this stage, we have already done the work to understand your home, so there are no surprises waiting later.

Your agreement includes complete construction documentation. Final plans, a detailed scope of work broken down by trade and by room, and a full selections package listing every material, fixture, and finish.

"By the end of this phase, we can tell you exactly what the project will cost and have everything in place to deliver it." Jon Traveller

This is the point where uncertainty ends and everything ahead becomes clear.

After This Step, You Will Have

  1. A photo realistic 3D model of your finished renovation, approved by you
  2. A fixed price agreement where the number you sign is the number you pay
  3. Complete construction documentation including plans, scope of work, and selections
  4. Full confidence in exactly how your home will look and what it will cost

STEP 4 | CONSTRUCTION

Smooth And Certain Because Nothing Has Been Left To Chance

This is where the transformation happens. And because of everything resolved in Steps 1 through 3, it's also where Bright Homes clients typically experience something they didn't expect to say about a renovation:

"This Is Actually Going Smoothly"

Not hoping things stay on track.
Not fielding calls about last minute decisions.
Not opening change order emails.

Just watching your home come together exactly as you were shown, on schedule, on budget, with a team that knows exactly what they're doing.

You're Never Left Wondering

From day one, you have access to your Bright Homes client portal.

Log in any time and see exactly where your project stands. What's happening this week. Who is coming to your home. What has been completed and what comes next.

You also have a direct line to the team whenever you need it. No chasing. No delays. Just clear, responsive communication.

"One of the biggest fears clients have is feeling powerless once construction starts. The portal exists to make sure that never happens." Jon Traveller

Weekly Meetings You Can Count On

Every week, without exception, you meet with the Bright Homes team.

We walk through what has been completed, what is coming next, and anything that needs your input.

Not occasional updates. Not reactive calls. A consistent, scheduled conversation every single week.

So you always know what is happening in your home.

Timelines That Actually Hold

Because every decision and every material was handled before construction began, there are no delays waiting to happen.

No waiting on selections. No last minute changes. No stalled progress.

"By the time construction starts, we have already worked through the problems. The plan is not a guess. It is something we can execute." Jon Traveller

After 25 years and more than 400 projects, that preparation is what keeps timelines on track.

A Team You Can Trust in Your Home

Every tradesperson on your project has been carefully selected and vetted.

Each one is a specialist, working from detailed plans, a clear scope, and a quality standard refined over decades.

"If something does not meet our standards, even if a client would not notice, we redo it." Jon Traveller

Do You Need to Move Out

No. You are never required to leave your home during construction.

Some clients choose to for comfort. Others stay. The decision is always yours.

If you stay, we work around your schedule. If you leave, the portal keeps you fully informed the entire time.

After This Step, You Will Have

  1. Full visibility through your client portal, accessible any time
  2. A direct line to the team throughout the build
  3. A weekly construction meeting every week
  4. A timeline that holds because everything was planned, ordered, and resolved before construction began

STEP 5 | WELCOME HOME

Your Home, Delivered Exactly as Promised

The build is complete. And for most Bright Homes clients, this is the moment everything becomes real.

For months, you trusted the process. The plan. The people.
Now you’re standing in a finished space that looks exactly like the 3D model you approved before a single wall came down.

On budget. On time. Down to the last detail.

That’s not luck. It’s the result of planning everything upfront and delivering exactly what was promised.

Quality Assurance Walkthrough

Before you see the finished project, our team walks through every room using a detailed checklist. Anything that does not meet our standard is fixed before you arrive.

Then we walk the home with you, room by room, with that same checklist in hand. If you notice anything, it is addressed right away.

We are not done until you are fully satisfied.

"The most rewarding part is when someone shares how happy they are with their home. That is everything." Jon Traveller

Your Completion Package

At the end of your project, you receive a complete package with everything you need going forward.

Your full selections packet with every finish and fixture. All construction plans. All warranties and compliance documents. An operational guide for your renovated spaces.

Everything organized in one place so you can reference it, maintain it, or pass it on.

Your Two Year Warranty

Every Bright Homes project is backed by a two year workmanship warranty, double the industry standard.

If anything related to workmanship needs attention during that time, we take care of it. Standing behind our work does not end when construction is complete.

A Moment Worth Recognizing

Jon treats the completion of every project as the milestone it is.

You have made a significant investment in a home you plan to live in for years. Seeing it come together as planned deserves more than a final invoice.

"Jon helped us see what our home could become. His team was respectful, the quality was outstanding, and they made sure we were happy with every detail. We love it." Jared C., South Jordan

After This Step, You Will Have

  1. A finished renovation that matches your approved 3D model
  2. A complete package with selections, plans, warranties, and guidance
  3. A two year workmanship warranty
  4. The confidence of knowing your home was built right and backed properly
Bright Homes renovation project

You Now Know Exactly How This Works. The Only Question Left Is Whether It's Right for You.

If you like the idea of knowing exactly what your renovation will cost, what it will look like, and how it will come together before construction begins, that is exactly what this first conversation is for.

It is free. We will come to your home, walk through your space, and give you an honest assessment of what is possible, including anything that may not align with your expectations.

No pressure. No obligation. Just clear, straightforward guidance.

Jon would rather spend an hour being honest with you than move forward on a project that is not the right fit.

Bring your questions. That is exactly what this step is for.
