Over 2,000 Happy Clients & Counting
We investigate what's behind your walls and plan every detail before quoting, so your price stays locked from start to finish.
We walk you through a photo-realistic 3D model of your finished renovation before anything is touched, so every detail is just right.
You'll choose every finish and fitting calmly with our in-house designer, no rushed choices, no trades waiting, before work begins.
Your home once worked perfectly for the way you lived. Life changed. The house didn’t. We redesign it from the inside out around how you live today, with a finished result you’ll see in 3D before construction begins.
You love the neighborhood. You just need your home to do more. We design and build additions that connect so naturally, with the same roofline, materials, and character, that no one can tell what was always there and what’s new.
The heart of your home, where everyone gathers and meals come to life, designed the way you’ve always imagined it. Every finish is chosen before construction begins, and every cost is agreed to before a wall is touched.
The room you use every morning, finally designed around how you actually live. Warm, thoughtful, and built to feel like it was always meant to be there. You'll see it in 3D before we start, and know the full cost before you commit.
Most Utah homes are sitting on 1,600 square feet, or more, of untapped potential. Done right, that space becomes a family room, extra bedrooms and bathroom, or even a self-contained apartment generating $1,600 to $1,800 per month in rental income. We’ll show you exactly what yours could look like before we build it.
Your kitchen finally opens up, so you're part of the conversation, not working behind a wall that should've come down years ago.
Your main floor flows the way it should. Bright, connected, and easy to live in.
Your primary suite feels like a retreat. Quiet, functional, and designed for how you actually live.
The basement becomes space your family uses every day, not just storage.
And when someone walks in, they don't ask what changed. They just feel like it was always meant to be this way.
That's the home Bright Homes clients are living in right now.
But for most homeowners, getting there doesn't go this smoothly.
Here's why.
Most people who start looking for a renovation builder carry something with them into every conversation. A story they heard. A friend who went through it. A quiet anxiety they can't quite shake.
And underneath all of it, the same fears.
It happens on almost every project where the builder hasn't dedicated the the time to fully plan every detail of the project before providing a quote. The contract is signed. The walls open. And suddenly there's a conversation about what wasn't included, what the allowance didn't cover, what they found behind the wall. By the time that conversation happens, you've committed. You can't walk away. And the number you agreed to is no longer the number you're paying.
You should see realistic options early — not after months of planning. We align design decisions with your budget from the start and show you what is possible before you get attached to something that cannot be built.
A clear timeline, defined milestones, and consistent communication are part of how we work — not extras you hope for later. You always know who is on your project and what happens next.
You review layouts, finishes, and details before construction starts. Decisions are made when changes are still practical — not when walls are already closed up.
When planning is done properly upfront, most choices are settled before demo day. That means fewer panic decisions under pressure and a calmer experience while your home is under construction.
The floor plan looks fine. The builder seems confident. And then the framing goes up and something is wrong in a way that was impossible to see from a 2D drawing. Moving a window six inches on screen takes thirty seconds. Moving it after the wall is framed is a very different conversation. One that costs time, money, and the goodwill you'll need for the rest of the build.
The trades are on site. Materials are arriving. And someone asks you a question you weren't expecting. The exact tile going down next week, the position of a light switch, the finish on a fitting you haven't thought about yet. Decisions made under pressure, in the middle of disruption, without the full picture. Those are the decisions people live with for twenty years and wish they'd made differently.
You spend weeks working with a designer on a plan you're genuinely excited about. You take it to a builder. The quote comes back at double what you expected. You go back to the designer. You scale everything back. You pay them again. And somewhere in that process, you stop being sure you love it anymore. Many renovation projects that start this way never make it to construction at all.
The calls get slower. The updates stop coming. You're not sure what's happening on site or what's coming next. You drove past yesterday and nobody was there. And when you finally get someone on the phone, the answer isn't quite what you were hoping for.
Most remodel stress comes from uncertainty. Not knowing what it will cost, how it will look, or what decisions are still waiting for you mid build.
Bright Homes eliminates that uncertainty before a single wall is opened. Every detail is planned, every selection is made, and every cost is clearly defined upfront so construction feels calm, predictable, and fully under control.

Working with Bright Homes taught me there is skill level "other." They may be new to Utah but they're not new to construction or helping clients. Thanks for helping us save our marriage one renovation at a time!
Mandi J. | Whole Home Remodel, Draper, Utah County
I had so many contractors tell me they wouldn't do my project because of cost and design and on and on. You guys weren't scared away. You had design ideas, cost control and schedule control.
Maridy J. | Repeat Client, Three Separate Projects
You actually made that a fun and stress-free process by doing so much preparation for us that we didn't have to do. From the first time we met in person we loved working with you.

HOW IT WORKS
Most renovation anxiety comes not from the work itself but from not knowing what to expect next. Here's what working with Bright Homes actually looks like:
Three straightforward steps, no surprises.
Your first meeting with Jon is free. No pressure, no obligation. Just an honest conversation about your home, what isn’t working, what you’re hoping to create, and the feasability of doing what you have in mind. and what a realistic investment looks like for the scope you have in mind.
Jon will tell you directly if something doesn’t add up, if there’s a smarter approach, or if Bright Homes isn’t the right fit for your project. You leave with a clear picture of what’s possible and complete freedom to decide what happens next, on your timeline, when you’re ready.
The Project Development phase is where uncertainty ends. Your existing home is documented to the inch. Up to three concept plans are developed and refined. Every finish and fitting is selected with with your dedicated in house designer before construction begins. The full scope is detailed and priced, specifically, not approximately, and you walk through the finished result in a photo realistic 3D model before anything is built.
By the time you sign the Fixed Cost Construction Agreement, nothing is left to chance. You know exactly what you're getting, exactly what it costs, and exactly when you'll have it.
Construction begins with every decision already made and every material already ordered. Your dedicated client portal, weekly construction meetings, and direct access to every member of the team mean you're never left wondering what's happening on site or what's coming next.
At the end, a handover walkthrough, a full operational manual for your new home, and a 2 year workmanship warranty, and a finished result that looks exactly the way it did in the 3D model, because every decision was made before the building began.
Jon Traveller started remodeling things at fifteen, a 20 by 20 garage, by himself, because he couldn’t help himself. He went on to graduate with a bachelors degree in construction management and spend years working on construction sites before starting Bright Homes.
What he found in the industry bothered him. Allowances. Change orders. Prices that quietly weren’t fixed. Homeowners left anxious and powerless once the walls opened. He asked the question most builders never ask. If this were my home being remodeled, would I want to be treated like this?
The answer became the philosophy Bright Homes is still built around today.
Plan everything. Own the risk. Remove the fear.
If you’ve been thinking about remodeling but hesitating because you’re not sure it will go the way it should, this is worth an hour of your time.
You’ll sit down with Jon and have an honest conversation about your home. What isn’t working. What you want it to become, and what is realistically possible..
He’ll tell you, if there’s a smarter way to approach it, or if the investment doesn’t make sense for your property.
No pressure. No obligation. Just a clear picture so you can decide what happens next, on your timeline.
“When someone works on your home, you need someone you can trust who knows what they’re doing. That’s exactly how I would describe the team at Bright Homes.”
Connor P. | Utah County
The home you’ve been imagining is closer than you think. It starts with one conversation.
